Enlightening article in the New Republic about national Democrats disgraceful silence on so many Americans losing their healthcare along with their jobs. This is the perfect opportunity to compare/contrast our ridiculous employer-based healthcare system to advanced countries’ universal, taxpayer-funded healthcare systems. They have it better, cheaper, and infinitely more dependable. Better for the people, better for business.
So why don’t the national Democrats talk about it? Can only speculate, but although universal, taxpayer-payer funded healthcare is better for families, individuals and businesses, it really sucks when it comes to getting campaign contributions. Dunnit?
